Pomona TerreAzur
Responsible for the Seafood Quality Service
“Pomona TerreAzur is the first fresh fruit, vegetables and seafood integrated distribution network for professionals in France. The network distributes 27,000 tones of fresh seafood each year through its 26 national branches. Its favored customers are the super/hyper market sector/masse retailers and the catering sector/restaurant business.
According to Pomona TerreAzur, a Common Fisheries Policy (CFP) is a fundamental tool in order to have access to seafood sourced from an as sustainable as possible way. Indeed, it is the only device with the aim to ensure the entirely available resources durability at the European continent level. It is also a device of which the objectives are at the same time environmental, societal and economic, in one word: sustainable.
The widened consultation process for the development of the 2013 CFP shows a will of transparency and the wish to associate as much stakeholders as possible, in order to give a sense of responsibility and to unite all the industry actors. We hope it is the guarantee of the reform success, which follows the same goal as every one in the industry: the durability of the resource, of the industry, of the employments linked to it, with a shared profitability.”
